| Strengths: |
Ideal 3 technique defensive tackle, Hood is very quick off the ball. Does a good job using his hands and has a sick spin move that gets him in the backfield on a regular basis. Has great size and uses it to his advantage. Seems to enjoy fighting in the trenches. High motor player. A hard worker and generally likeable guy. Will perform well if he's drafted into the right system. Good lateral movement and can chase down the play. High motor and great work ethic. |
| Weaknesses: |
Has a tendency to get high at times and gets beat when he does. Suffered a broken foot in 2006 and had a screw placed in the bone. Doesn't possess the strength you'd like from an interior defensive lineman. |

Nicknamed "Ziggy" by his grandmother after the cartoon character. Started 3 years for Missouri. Hood is a very likeable guy and a hard worker. Probably won't ever be an elite player, but will be a constant contributor as a starter in the NFL. If drafted into the right system, Hood can surpass expectations. Max Unger referred to Hood as the toughest matchup he faced at the Senior Bowl. |
