Draft Breakdown v2.0
QB RB FB WR TE OT OG C DE DT OLB ILB CB S K P

2nd Round
William Moore
S Missouri Senior
6'0" 221 lbs 40: 4.53 sec
Strengths: Good size and strength for a safety. Moore loves to play and you can tell. Loves contact and is a big hitter. Does a great job in run support and is a terror when receivers come across the middle. Decent range for a bigger guy. Would have possibly been a first round pick if he left Missouri as a Junior. Aggressive and does a good job reading the QBs eyes. Works best when he's able to roam and be a ball hawk. Good burst to close on the ball carrier. Long arms and good overall build.
Weaknesses: Doesn't turn and run as well as you'd like and can struggle in man coverage with faster receivers. Has had a history of injuries that has affected his play at times including a broken foot and surgery to repair a torn labrum. Can gamble at times and miss the play. Because Moore prefers the big hit, he'll sometimes miss on tackles.
Quick Hits: Would have been a sure fire first round pick if he left as a junior. Missouri's defensive scheme changed in 2008, keeping him closer to the line of scrimmage and out of his usual "roaming" position, causing drop in production. Many said Moore didn't have a good Senior Bowl, but I was there and I disagree. Moore showed leadership and looked to have fun while on the field. Moore also seemed to always be around the ball. Moore was 2nd team All-American in 2007. Can play both free and strong safety at the next level. Initially played corner at Missouri before switching to safety.
