Draft Breakdown v2.0

Late 1st/Early 2nd Round

Kenny Britt
WR Rutgers Junior
6'2" 218 lbs 40: 4.47 sec
Strengths: Has terrific size and bulk. Britt is an absolute physical monster. Britt uses his body well to keep the defender at bay. Isn't afraid to go across the middle or extend his body to get the ball. Outstanding leaping skills. Does a good job getting past the jam at the line of scrimmage. Enjoyed a productive career at Rugers. Has fairly reliable hands and runs solid routes. Extremely strong and uses that strength to be a very effective blocker. A playmaker after the catch, Britt rarely goes down after the first hit. Great combination of size, speed, and hands.
Weaknesses: Isn't as fast as you'd like. Had hot and cold times while at Rutgers. Britt has dropped his share of balls. Catches with his body too often. Has trouble getting seperation with quicker, instinctive defenders. Many have spoken of attitude concerns, but no specific incidents have been pointed out to back it up.
Quick Hits: Three year starter in the Big East, Britt holds the receiving yards record at Rutgers. First team All-Big East in 2008. Britt has all the physical tools you could ask for in an NFL WR, but needs to work on the finer points that separate a good player from a great player. Could actually end up being the most immediately productive WR taken in the first round.
