Top 15
Jeremy Maclin
WR Missouri RS Sophomore
6'0" 198 lbs 40: 4.46 sec
Strengths: Decent size, but nothing to rave about. A very fluid athlete with great playing speed. Gets to top speed quickly. Has a second gear to outrun everyone on the field. Solid hands and rarely lets the ball get into his chest. Creative in the open field and is extremely elusive. Can actually break some tackles and is pretty tough. A great returner with good patience and vision as a runner. Not afraid to work the middle. With good coaching, could become an elite receiver. A very smart, high character player. Great kick and punt return sklls.
Weaknesses: Times slower than he plays. Played in a wide-open spread offense. A bit of a long strider. Had quite a few severe injuries. Only 2 years of playing experience after red-shirting his true freshman year, which is a big indicator of taking longer to adjust to the NFL. Route running skills are only average and he rounded off a lot of routes in college.
Quick Hits: A very young receiver, he will only be 20 on draft day. Holds the NCAA freshman record for most all-purpose yards. Extremely productive in the pass happy spread offense at Missouri. Wore a shirt to his pro day in memory of his recently deceased uncle, Terry Ingram, Sr. A two-time All-America selection. Will also bring kick and punt return abilities to an NFL team and is an all-purpose home run threat every time he touches the ball.
