| Strengths: |
Solid in man coverage. Butler can turn and run with ease. Flips hips well and stays fluid in coverage. Outstanding vertical leap ability. Does a good job reading the play and reacting in the run game. Solid instincts as a cover a corner. Reliable tackler. Great burst and gets to the ball in a hurry. Explosive and a play maker. Played some wide receiver to take advantage of his explosiveness in his senior year. Football is in his blood. |
| Weaknesses: |
Plays too far off in off-man coverage. Not a lot of lower body strength and is a bit thin. Tackling, while reliable, isn't the most fundamentally form. A bit of a gambler, Butler will take risks. Had some injuries throughout his career. |
