Draft Breakdown v2.0
QB RB FB WR TE OT OG C DE DT OLB ILB CB S K P

First Round

Clint Sintim
OLB Virginia Senior
6'2" 256 lbs 40: 4.78 sec
Strengths: Physical linebacker with great size. Solid pass rushing ability. The only top LB prospect in the draft that played in a true 3-4 defense in college. Strong tackler using good fundamentals. Strong at the point of attack and knows how to shed blocks. Good instincts and can quickly diagnose a play. Has a full arsenal of pass rush moves and is probably the best pass rushing LB in the draft. Outstanding strength, especially in the lower body. Durability is a huge plus, never missing a game due to injury in 4 years as a starter. Plays much faster than timed speed would indicate. A high character player that is hard working and should be rated much higher than he is by most.
Weaknesses: Though he played decently in coverage at Virginia, he still needs work. Has a hard time turning and running with backs and tight ends. A bit stiff in the hips on coverage and has a tendency to stay high in his back pedal. Will sometimes run around blockers. Can over extend himself trying to make open-field tackles.
Quick Hits: A 4 year starter in the ACC that never missed a game due to injury, Sintim is being vastly underrated by most. Sintim has the benefit of coming from a true 3-4 system and rushed the passer on a regular basis. Also comes from a pro-style coaching system under Coach Groh. Sintim can instantly step in as a 3-4 OLB for any team, but could also play the Sam backer in a 4-3. Awarded 2nd team All-ACC in 2008. Sintim in the complete package and will prove as a solid pick for any NFL team.
