QB RB FB WR TE OT OG C DE DT OLB ILB CB S K P

Top 10
Brian Orakpo
DE Texas Senior
6'3" 263 lbs 40: 4.70 sec
Strengths: A physical specimen with great muscle tone and good size, Orakpo is considered one of, if not the best pass rusher in the draft. A quick first step and he has exceptional acceleration to explode to the QB after he beats the tackle. Uses his long arms to keep the lineman away from his body. He has an array of pass rush moves, and his speed rush is elite. Very athletic with a good motor and work ethic. Consistently made plays from the backside of the play. Improved every year and has a high ceiling. Either a 4-3 right end or a 3-4 OLB.
Weaknesses: Orakpo missed some time with injuries and he played a lot of 2008 with nagging injuries. Speed rush is by far his best tool but isn’t very powerful and he won’t give quicker lineman any problem. Lower body needs work and he will struggle against the run early in his career. Does a poor job shedding blocks and can get pushed out of the play.
Quick Hits: Won the 2008 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, Lombardi Award, Bill Willis Award, Ted Hendricks, and Bronko Nagurski Trophy award winner in addition to being a unanimous First-Team All-American. Orakpo was a Youth and Community Studies Major.
